Early Tuesday morning, authorities announced that The Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. was vandalized with red spray paint.
The graffiti was found at about 4:30 a.m. by somebody working with the National Park Service. News agencies are saying that it says “F*** [expletive deleted] Law.”
Additional vandalism was found in the area from silver spray paint but it could not be read according to a statement issued by the National Park Service.
The spray paint on The Lincoln Memorial has been subsequently removed without damage being done to the actual architecture of the historical site.
The National Park Service is asking that anybody with information about this incident please contact them at 202-610-7515.
