At 89 years old, Rose Griest set out on her long trip home after a doctor’s appointment in Orlando, Florida. Along the way, she and her 100-year-old husband, David, stopped at a gas station to use the restroom.
Rose and David pulled up to the nearest gas station and parked their SUV. They were both weak and exhausted by the time they returned to the vehicle to get back on the road.
Rose was noticeably wobbly as she fought with her walker. She, like David, struggled to find her balance and strength.
Officer Kanesha Carnegie was standing nearby and about to assist the elderly couple when she noticed three young males running out the petrol station doors.
Officer Carnegie stood there in astonishment, capturing the following few events on her iPhone instead of assisting Rose and David.
The three men are actually Joc Koe Stoe, Marty, and Freddy G, three rappers from Orlando. They were inside the gas station buying something to eat when they noticed Rose and David laboring in the parking lot. Joc, Marty, and Freddy dashed outdoors without a second’s hesitation.
“I kept thinking, ‘She could have been my grandmother,'” Marty told Fox 5.
Officer Carnegie shared the touching video on Facebook, where it has received over 5 million views. What a wonderful display of humanity and kindness.
