German salon M&M Friseure debuted a new hair trimming technique last week and the first images have gone viral almost overnight.
The bizarre method requires four equally spaced pig-tails on top of the head held in place with a copious amount of hair gel.
Once the tails are standing at attention, the stylist goes to work with a simple pair of clippers before washing the hair clean.
The stylist who came up with this method wanted to isolate the customer’s split ends and provide a layered trim without taking away too much length.
