Shaylynn Hampton is 13 years old and as she watched a basketball game from her porch, she noticed that one boy was getting bullied over his old shoes.
He was only 10 and his shoes were falling apart. The other kids were laughing and hurling insults in his direction until the boy walked off the court with his head low.
Shaylynn isn’t much older but she knew that she wanted to step in. She went into her closet and got her best pair of sneakers, still in the box, and brought them outside. She handed them to the boy.
