All 4-year-old Jabez Oates wanted to do was go the kindergarten, but when he showed up on the third day of school, things took a turn for the worse.
The little boy was attending Barber’s Hill Kindergarten Center. Jabez attended the school for two days, but on the third day, he wasn’t allowed in class.
Why? His hair is too long.

Jabez’s mother, Jessica, was told her son wasn’t allowed in class because the length of his hair is “inappropriate.” She tried putting his hair in a bun, but the school still didn’t accept it.
The school said Jabez couldn’t return until his hair was cut or a letter citing cultural or religious beliefs was submitted.
