Jake Roper asks the question we’ve all been wondering for the last 26 years, could the robbers actually survive Home Alone? Turns out the answer is no.
The data from the paint bucket booby trap alone is absolutely brutal. The average gallon of paint weighs around 13 lbs. When swung from the top of a staircase it reaches a speed of 17 mph at the bottom of the swing. Give it a little push and it easily hits 20 mph.
The robber’s head would snap back with 266G of force, knocking them immediately unconscious. The force of impact would easily fracture their nose, and possibly their skull. That’s enough to cause permanent brain damage, but combined with the inevitable rag-doll fall downstairs they’re looking at paralysis or death.
Take a look at some of the other traps and see what would really happen.
