Most people slow down and come to a complete stop (if it’s safe) when they see animals crossing a road.
An officer was patrolling his area when he came upon a mother bear and her cubs. The mother bear was pacing across the street, and the officer was confused.
The officer was confused until he realized why she was pacing.
There was one tiny cub that wasn’t keeping up with the group, the baby cub was sick. Eventually the mother bear left the cub.
The officer then saw his opportunity. The officer’s police department stated, “After doing some bear traffic control we had to take one bear cub in for Fish and Game to be rehabilitated as it was too weak to keep up with its mom and siblings.”
The rehab will help the cub grow and reintegrate him with his family back in the wild when he’s ready.
