Wedding planning is usually a happy time for the bride. Kristen Mundell found the experience to be bittersweet. She had to celebrate what was supposed to be the happiest day of her life without one very special person — her father.
Deputy Walker “Kent” Mundell, Jr of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department was killed during a shift in 2009. The father-daughter dance was going to take some creativity. Local officers that knew her father stepped up and offered their help.
Three Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies took a chance to dance with the lovely. Each one brought more tears to her eyes. It was truly a magical experience.
We’re happy they filmed the story and part of the dance so we could help celebrate the life of Deputy Mundell and Kristen’s happy day.
