A bear trapped in a what appeared to be a bucket had been seen wandering along the roads of Clarion County, Pennsylvania by multiple people for nearly a month according to the Huffington Post.
Despite reports to animal control, nothing could be done for the poor creature who quickly became known as “bucket bear.”
A group of concerned citizens even created a Facebook page called “Save The Bucket Bear” to raise awareness about his situation. After local game officials’ attempts to trap the bear were unsuccessful, a few volunteers organized a rescue mission.
After locating the bear, the volunteers spent 20 minutes chasing and wrestling the poor creature before they were able to start remove the “bucket.”
It would be another 30-40 minutes before they could free the bear from the black air bag, which turned out to be a Maxi cushion used on a tractor trailer.
