Darci Miller was badly burned back in 2015. Her body has taken a while to heal and she’s had to undergo multiple surgeries to help her along the way. The whole thing has left her with a lot of scars.
Miller says that a recent trip to the zoo has left her with a lasting impression. It reminded her of something important.
Miller and her fiance went to a zoo in Indiana and met a special Orangutan named Rocky.
Rocky is known for his curiosity around the zoo and when Miller got close to the glass, Rocky gave her a big long look. The Orangutan kept pointing to the bandages and Miller got closer so she could see.
It’s quite a moment and one that Miller says she won’t forget. She said it made her feel good to be in her skin which is something she hadn’t felt in quite some time.
