Celine Dion has been performing “The Prayer” for years. It’s a wonderful song and everybody loves it. One year she was performing it with Andrea Bocelli, the great singer, or rather… She was supposed to perform with Bocelli but he had to miss rehearsal unexpectedly.
That’s when a very nervous 17-year-old boy stepped in to fill Bocelli’s very big shoes. Celine Dion recalled, “He’s so nervous and shaking and he comes so sweet and introduces himself. I’m like, ‘Oh I feel bad for this little kid.’ I was feeling nervous for him.”
That boy turned out to be Josh Groban. We all know that he’s become a great singer in his own rite. It’s wonderful listening to her tell the story before bringing him on stage for a fantastic performance that brought down the house.
