Here’s a rooster that’s so big, that you’re going to immediately ask if it’s real. It almost looks like a man in a suit. We can say we’ve never seen a chicken THIS big before!
This is actually known as a “Brahma” chicken and it’s a breed developed in the United States from larger birds that were imported from Shanghai, China. Believe it or not, most of the countries chicken meat came from this bird during the period between 1850 and 1930.
They’re massive birds that have a rather majestic strut to them. The males average around 12 lbs. That’s big.
