Jane Goodall is a renowned scientist and animal lover.
In the Republic of Congo, more than 160 chimpanzees are living at the Jane Goodall Institute’s Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Center.
And this is the story of Wounda, a chimpanzee who overcame adversity and illness, and is now living on an island that’s a part of Goodall’s animal sanctuary.
Goodall and her team, brought Wounda to a forest on an island, to set her free in paradise.
Wounda was released from the cage, and just looked around before embracing Goodall with an incredible hug. The look on her face says it all.
After hugging Goodall, Wounda gets a feel for her new surroundings and seems to be enjoying her new environment in the wild.
