Written and recorded by Conway Twitty himself, “Hello Darlin'” came out in 1970 and went to the top of the Billboard Magazine Hot Country Singles Chart. It was his fourth song to do so.

It was a standard opener for Twitty, and during his legendary performances with Loretta Lynn, he would often sing it directly to Lynn.
