It’s a heartbreaking day for country music fans. Music legend Roy Clark has passed away at the age of 85.
According to TMZ, the Grammy award winner died on Thursday at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma due to complications from pneumonia.
The beloved country star spent more than 70 years spreading the joy of music. Clark was known for his incredible skill across a wide range of insturments including the guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and more.
Clark may be most well known for hosting the country music variety show “Hee Haw,” which ran for 24 seasons. He performed alongside countless other country legends (see him playing with Johnny Cash in the video below).
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, and their five children. Roy and Barbara were married for 61 years.
