It was something out of a movie.
Pete Benda, 14, suffered from a traumatic brain injury after falling 30-feet from an auditorium lift.
Doctors said that 90% of people who sustained a brain injury like Pete’s would likely remain in a vegetative state…permanently.
Pete laid in a hospital bed in a coma. His eyes were open but he didn’t speak. Pete’s dad, Rob, noticed people were losing hope, but he didn’t. Rob told his family, “We have to positive with this. We are not going to sit at his bedside and cry. If you have to cry, you go out of the room.”
