Kim and Stan live in a neighborhood where white-tailed deer often visit people’s yards. While many people may see this as a blessing, it can also be a bit of a curse if you’re fond of your plants!
One day, Kim received a notice from her doorbell camera app. She pulled up the live video and noticed a deer eating their bushes.
Using the doorbell’s two-way talk feature she spoke to the deer in a friendly tone, asking why it was eating their bushes. Unsure of the sound, the deer froze in place with a guilty look on it’s face. Without seeing or smelling a threat, the deer went back to its mid-day meal.
Kim continued speaking with the deer who appeared to perk up whenever it heard her voice. Shortly thereafter, Kim posted the video online where it quickly went viral.
