The animal kingdom is a truly wild place. Fortunately, we sometimes get a small glimpse into the bizarre encounters that happen in nature every day.
The video below taken in Wisconsin’s Nordic Mountain Country Park is a perfect example.
The footage starts as a hawk swoops onto what we will later learn is a rabbit taking refuge in the tall grass.
Normally, all hope for the rabbit would be lost, but a doe appears from nowhere. In a mad dash, the doe circles the hawk before batting it with her front hooves.
Now the hunter has become the hunted and the would-be-dinner dashes away to safety.
