Friends come in all shapes, sizes, colors, animal breeds, etc.
In 2007, a wolf had been captured and held in a small pen in a village of Albania. The people who captured the wolf decided to feed him a live donkey. The donkey was given up by its owners after they felt he was too old to be of any use.
Both animals had been victims of abuse by humans. So when the donkey was put in the pen with the wolf, to fight to death, I bet their captors were pretty shocked when that’s not what happened at all.
A donkey and a wolf became friends.
Word spread of this unlikely friendship and petitions were sent to the Albanian government to spare the life of the donkey and wolf.
The Ministry of Environment in Albania ordered the captors to set the animals free. And they did.
