Cody and Kelly Campbell were celebrating their wedding reception when a guest picked up a microphone and said “If I’m ever in a position where I need a fireman to help me, I hope it’s you or I hope it’s someone like you.”
Unbelievably, tragedy struck moments later and a first responder was needed. Luckily, Cody was ready, willing, and able to jump into action.
Cody first heard his mother yell that a guest had choked on a piece of steak. Cody can be seen looking to his right in the video below and immediately deploying his emergency rescue skills. Right before our eyes, he transforms from a happy groom to a brave hero!
The quick-thinking firefighter used the Heimlich maneuver to save the guest’s life. The guest could breathe again, and the joyous celebrations continued.
