RSPCA inspectors were shocked when they stumbled upon a crying foal and her mother in distress.
From a distance they saw the mother was laying on her side and struggling to get up.
They went in for a closer look and saw the mother’s rear hoof had become tangled in her mane.
She was trapped and scared, but somehow they were able to free her before she hurt herself.
