Aurea Miranda, a 24-year-old New York City dancer, had planned to spend the hot summer day beside a public lake.
At Freedom Lake in New York, Aurea discovered the ideal area for sunbathing. With the magnificent environment behind her, she put up her tripod camera to capture some TikTok videos.
But, before she knew it, an anonymous mother walked up to her, enraged, with an unexpected complaint.
“You see those group of boys over there? Those are my boys,” the woman said defiantly. “They’re staring at your [expletive] which is hanging out in the middle of a public place.”
Aurea was offered an extra pair of shorts by the woman. Aurea filmedĀ the entire interaction.
“Is there a rule that says that?” she asked the furious woman. Although her swimsuit was small, there is no rule that says it was illegal attire.
Despite the fact that Aurea was wearing a bathing suit, the woman continued to scold her and accuse her of “public nudity.”
