There’s nothing fun about traveling around the holidays, but sometimes a complete stranger can make everything better with a simple act of kindness.
While traveling on a plane, Evan Hughes’ 8-month-old son started fussing and just would not stop. The exhausted father and son were separated from the rest of their family when bad weather in Chicago forced them to take different flights.
As more and more glaring eyes turned toward Evan and his son, the passenger sitting beside them said “Oh just give him to me.” Not knowing what else to do, Evan scooped up his son and set him in the stranger’s lap. Not one minute later the fussy little infant snuggled into her chest and fell fast asleep.
Evan wrote about his experience on Facebook “The kindness of this stranger was truly refreshing on what was quickly becoming one of the worst days in a long time. There is still hope!”
