Who gets their coffee first?
This puzzle appeared on Twitter late last week, and since then viewers everywhere have been arguing about the answer.
It’s currently the fastest growing brain teaser on social media with more than 2,000 re-tweets in just 48 hours.

We’re sure if you check the comments on Facebook you’ll see plenty of dissenting opinions, but the answer is shockingly simple for those who take the time to look closely.
Logically, it seems like cup #4 should fill up first. The left outlet of the main reservoir and the secondary reservoirs are both lower than the right, and the right reservior has an extra chamber that must be filled first before the coffee can reach cups #5 and #7.
The only problem is that all routes are blocked except for cup #5.

There’s simply no where else for the coffee to go! Therefore cup #5 isn’t just the first cup to be filled, it’s the only cup to be filled.
