A 14-year-old girl was saved by a group of strangers on Saturday after she fell from the “Sky Ride,” an elevated gondola at Six Flags in Queensbury, New York.
The ride had come to a halt after the operator was informed of another “rider in distress.” The teenager, who was riding with a younger relative, slipped under the safety bar and couldn’t climb back on board after her neck became trapped by the ride.
“Her neck is stuck,” yelled a man in the crowd as the girl screamed above him.
A crowd of park guests quickly gathered below the girl as she dangled 25 feet above the ground. The teen finally let go and was caught by the crowd. One person was injured while breaking the girl’s fall.
