Sometimes you just need to take a break...

Her husband passed away 11 years ago, but he still sends flowers on her birthday and Valentine’s day

After 26 years of a happy marriage, Rich Cox was diagnosed with throat cancer and sadly passed away at the age of 53. Before his death, Rich made sure to show his wife Tracey just how much he loved her.

The first Valentine’s day after Rich’s death was incredibly hard for Tracey, but the day took an unexpected turn when she received a bouquet of flowers. She checked the card and couldn’t believe her eyes when she read a message written in Rich’s handwriting. The same thing happened again on her birthday and it’s happened on every birthday and Valentine’s day ever since.

Rich’s notes always share how much he adored Tracey, even in death. It’s a poignant time for Tracey mixed with boy joy and grief, but she wouldn’t trade it for the world. To this day she still doesn’t know how Rich pulled it off.

Her daughter, Bethany, said that Rich confided in her about his secret plans shortly before his death, but even she doesn’t know where the flowers come from or who is managing the countless notes Rich wrote when he knew the end was near. Bethany wasn’t surprised at all by the gesture because it’s exactly the sort of thing her thoughtful father would do.
