Truckers are sometimes called the eyes and the ears of the highways. There’s an organization called Truckers Against Trafficking that works to shut down child trafficking and inform drivers on how to recognize suspicious activities.
One trucker knew something was wrong when he saw some girls approaching a truck nearby. He called 911 right away. He told operators, “There are a couple of girls at exit 167 trying to do business out there.”
It was the phone call that helped break open, and eventually shut down, a 13-state child sex trafficking ring. It’s a true crime story.
