When students begin college they usually have support from their families but their are some students who are alone. John Hunt Jr. was one of the students without a family to support him on moving day. Seeing hundreds of other kids with their families helping them move-in hurt John.
John decided to make sure other foster and homeless kid wouldn’t go through what he did so he created the Renaissance Scholars. The Renaissance Scholars brings foster and homeless students on-campus together. It’s like a new family.
Kleenex teamed up with the Renaissance Scholars to surprise some deserving foster and homeless students moving into the dorms with free toiletries and supplies. They even got dorm makeovers!
