If it’s a major holiday like the 4th of July, you can bet you’ll hear a party or two.
One humorless neighbor in Asheville, North Carolina decided to call the cops on a “noisy” afternoon slip-n-slide party.
The officers responded to the call, just not how the complainer expected. The neighbor complained that the improvised slide was blocking the road. “When the police came, they quickly realized that wasn’t the case and asked if they could take a turn,” Katlen Joyce Smith, who also lives in the neighborhood, told CNN.
Officer Carrie Lee didn’t see a problem. “We looked at it and determined it wasn’t really an issue,” she said about the roadside slide. “So the first thing I said, I said I’m not here to break up your fun.”
The family was so thrilled they asked the officers to join in. Officer Lee jumped into a heavy duty trash bag before taking a dip. “I thought I was going to be able to get out of it, because I’m too big to fit in a trash bag,” said her partner, “but then when the kids pulled out this big raft … I had no choice.”
Lee shared a video of her phone interview with Moring Dose on Twitter.

Smith caught his attempt on video and shared it on Facebook. “Both cops went down the slide,” she said in her post. “The girl cop sat in a trash bag. I still can’t handle the amazing-mess of it all. I hope the neighbor who called them saw it all go down!!”
