To celebrate 10 years of honestly inexplicable fame, the Kardashian clan gathered together for a photo shoot in their underwear. While the family who’s famous for simply being famous thought their photo seemed candid and artistic, a group of librarians saw it as the perfect target for satire.
The group of librarians from Invercargill, New Zealand became a viral sensation after they released the photo below to Facebook. “It has been 10 years since the Kardashians first graced our screens” they wrote. “To celebrate, our social media team decided to have a totally impromptu, definitely not planned, photo-shoot.”
“We picked that photo to spoof because it’s iconic and also we thought how funny would that look with ordinary people in it,” said library manager Bonnie Mager, who posed as Kylie Jenner (far right).
“We decided the boys needed to be in the most sexualised positions, for both humour and to show how silly it would be to pose males like that,” she said in an interview with BuzzFeed. “The girls just went with who had the most accurate clothing to match those people.”
The image quickly went viral with plenty of happy comments. “The reactions have been so positive,” Mager added. “People love the humour of it.”
