“The Providence Arcade” might be two centuries old, but it’s a cool property that’s as rare as it is historical. Evan Granoff bought it up and put a new twist on the shopping mall.

He figured commercial space might not be in demand quite as much as it used to be, so he converted the upper floors into loft apartments.

They look small, and they are, at only 225 square feet in the smallest of the units, but people figure out how to make it work at only $550 month.
