Sometimes you’ll see a sad story online about a dog being abandoned with a sign asking somebody to take care of him, well this story is NOT that. This story has a very happy twist.
People arrived at a Target for some typical shopping and they saw a dog sitting outside with a sign around his neck. Most shoppers could not resist going up to see what it says. After they read it, almost every shopper had a laugh and gave the dog a good pet.
The golden retriever sat patiently and happily as people passed by and some stopped to pet him. His Dad left him outside with a sign.
The sign said, “Dad Told Me To Wait Here” and it continued, “Me Waiting.” Shoppers all knew this dog was properly cared for and was just waiting while his Dad ran inside quickly to get some water and treats while they were out on their walk.
You can see how well behaved the dog is. He’s not going anywhere!
The owner’s name is Steve Morse and after he was contacted by reporters about his wonderful dog, he said that the dog’s name is Jackson and believe it or not, he’s a rescue dog.
Morse picked up Jackson and found that the dog was very well trained. It’s hard to believe that he was turned in. Morse said, “Everybody wants to take him home. I just find that amazing because four weeks ago, nobody wanted him.”
It’s a sweet story. We’re glad they’ve found each other!
