Man grabs pelican from behind in mid takeoff to save it from almost certain death

Birds can be really aggressive if they feel threatened but this many didn’t care.

The man noticed the fishing line wrapped around the pelican’s beak and stepped in to save the bird. The fishing line could prevent the bird from eating but he wasn’t going to let that happen.

I still can’t believe he was able to catch the bird. Another man helped him out and removed the wire.

Thanks to them both, the pelican lives to fly and eat another day!
