Man rescued poor dog that was nearly submerged in eight feet of floodwater

Baton Rouge, Louisiana underwent a series of heavy rains recently which led to widespread flooding in the southern city. Lives were lost, homes were damaged, and families were left out in the cold. So were their pets.

Josh Pettit, a local man, was navigating the waters and helping as many people as he could during the disaster. Along the way, he documented everything.

He heard some rustling in the bushes. When he turned around and found this? Unbelievable! It was a poor dog, later her found out her name was Sadie, and she was struggling to stay above water. He did the only thing he could and rescued her. He got her untangled from the branches and pulled her into his boat.

Eventually, Sadie was even returned to her owners!
