In 2002, Julian Hernandez was 5-years-old when his mother reported him missing from their Alabama home. The case went cold and he became another statistic in growing population of missing children who are never found.
Thirteen years later an 18-year-old boy, who doesn’t know his real name is Julian Hernandez, starts to apply for college and discovers his social security number is incorrect. A school counselor intervened and discovered the truth. The boy’s father, Bobby Hernandez, had abducted his son and continued their life together under a false name in Cleveland, Ohio.
Bobby Hernandez was arrested this week with bail set at $255,000. The boy’s mother was overjoyed to learn her son was still alive.
