Back in the good old days kids dressed up like pirates, hobos, and clowns for Halloween. If they were really, really lucky mom and dad might have bought them a flimsy Captain Kirk mask that was held on with a piece of elastic.
Now kids dress up like Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers, but the idea is basically the same: dress up like something fun you don’t see everyday.
Little Lainie Griffin wanted to do something a little different for Halloween and pay tribute to someone that she admires, her mom! Using her own dolls and make-up, Lainie made her “exhausted mom” costume from scratch. Her mother Sam Jess Griffin was in stitches.
Sam is a mother of five, so the “exhausted” part is spot on. Sam’s best friend Rachael Fansler Beachy was so impressed that she took a photo of Lainie’s costume and shared it on Facebook for her fellow exhausted mothers to enjoy.
Rachael shared the image below with the following message,
“My friends daughter dressed up as a mom for halloween. Notice the spit up and dark circles under her eyes. Im dead! This is the best costume ive ever seen! Sam Jess costume contest!!!!! She would so win! Someone give her what she’s earned. I’d say stretch marks, hemorrhoids, and a front butt….but a prize will be awesome! Go Lainie!”
The picture quickly went viral with viewers around the world supporting a sweet little girl who recognized what a hard job her mother has.
