It’s completely normal for parents to second guess themselves in an attempt to provide the best for their children.
A mother writing to mumsnet.com under the username MrEBear is worried that she might not be buying enough Christmas presents for each of her children. She wanted to know what other mothers considered to be the “ideal” number of gifts.

MrEBear is a mother of two, a 7-year-old and a newborn. Now that she has two children she wants to make sure that everyone gets the same number of gifts. She thought 10/child might be the magic number.
Needless to say she was surprised by the variety of responses.

Some mothers thought 10 was too many, others said that the amount of money spent was a bigger factor than the number of gifts given.

What’s your opinion? How do you decide how many gifts to give your children or grandchildren?
