Navy veteran hears grandmother’s screams, stops daylight robbery at Winn-Dixie

A Navy veteran became a Good Samaritan after he rescued a 76-year-old woman being assaulted outside of a Winn-Dixie in Florida. Kendrick Taylor heard the woman scream and saw a thief try to escape with her bag on a bicycle. The huge vet managed to run down the thief on foot and knocked him off the bike. The thief attempted to flee again, but if he couldn’t beat Taylor with a two-wheel advantage he had no hope in an honest foot race. The crook has been charged with robbery and attempted battery on a person 65 or older. Taylor has been awarded the Medal of Merit by the Orlando Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
