Sometimes you just need to take a break...

If a nine-foot alligator shows up on your porch, don’t do what these folks do

When you live by big areas of water like they do at this Charleston, South Carolina home, you should expect some wild animals showing up in your yard, but even then, you might never expect to walk outside and see an alligator relaxing on your enclosed porch.

Susie Polston was woken up to the sounds of “aluminum rubbing up against aluminum” on her porch. Assuming it was an intruder attempting to break in, Polston and her family hid in the bedroom and called 911.

While she was making the call her 16-year-old son attempted to get a look at the “burglar” and saw the true culprit. “Oh my God, I found it! I found it!” he shouted to his mother reports local Fox affiliate WFXL 31.

The angry reptile had managed to crawl up 15 stairs before breaking through a screen door. “We were in disbelief that he actually made his way up the stairs, because we didn’t know alligators would climb stairs,” Susie said.

The Polston family lives at the RiverTowne Country Club, so they’ve seen their fair share of wildlife. “If you’re playing golf, you’ll see three or four (alligators) on the course any given day,” said Susie’s husband Steven.

“I feel like I’ll never be able to open these doors again without coming through here and looking out. here and scanning the whole porch,” Susie said.

They had to call a Department of Natural Resources specialist to come out and take care of this angry alligator, and it made their Easter morning one to remember that’s for sure.

Look at the way it knocks over all the furniture. That’s wild!
