Officers show up at a Mom’s door after nobody shows up to her son’s birthday party

Terra Hubbard wanted everything to be perfect for her son’s birthday party. She decorated the house with his favorite characters from the movie Cars, she got a cake, and she invited plenty of family and friends.

Her son Brayden is only three but already shows enough signs that he’s been diagnosed with autism. As the excuses kept coming in from everybody saying they weren’t going to be able to make, she couldn’t help but feel that his autism may have been a factor in all the cancellations.

Only a few family members came around to celebrate her toddler’s big deal, so she was distraught and wanted to call the whole thing off. That’s when a police officer knocked on her door.

Lt. Curtis Lemmings of the Yukon Police Department was standing in the doorway. The Mother was taken aback. He was there responding to an anonymous call explaining the situation. He brought several other officers and they were all there to join the Birthday party fun.

Brayden was treated to a ride in the patrol car and got to spend times with some of Yukon’s finest. The day was saved and Terra could breathe a sigh of relief that her son had a happy Birthday after all.
