Tony Williams had an amazing voice and it’s on full display in this classic song from the 50s. The Platters had a lot of hits, but “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes” is one of the best.

“Smoke Gets in Your Eyes” was a song that was covered by everybody from Earth Kitt to Sinatra, but it was The Platters that did the most easily recognizable version.

Their rendition became a number one hit in 1958, and is STILL a timeless classic.
