The San Antonio police department has fired former officer Matthew Luckhurst for “unthinkable” activities.

The five-year police veteran in the bike-patrol unit was accused of giving a sandwich filled with feces to a homeless man. Luckhurst denies these accusations, but the San Antonio Police Department told CBS Sacramento that Luckhurst had bragged about his “prank” with a fellow officer. The fellow officer admonished Luckhurst for his cruel joke and told him to take the sandwich back.

Luckhurst was placed on suspension while his actions were investigated by two separate review boards, both of which concluded he should be terminated immediately. Chief William McManus was in full support of the judgement.

Officer Steve Albart, who was also involved with the prank, was given an “indefinite” suspension that was later reduced to 30 days without pay.
