Jonathan Scott, one of the two twin stars from HDTV’s Property Brothers, released a statement on Facebook in response to this week’s women’s march.
In this video he responds to those who criticised his support of a women’s march against President Donald Trump. “They are our sisters, our mothers, our daughters, our partners, and our friends,” Scott said in his original post. His support was met with incredible backlash including cruel and hateful comments directed toward the women who participated in the march.
Saddened by the public’s response, Scott released the following video.
His response can be summed up with his opening statement, “Think back to when you were a child, and your parents taught you that ‘If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.’ I have no idea what happened to that – because I read all of your posts.”
What follows is an open discussion that focuses on the failing morals on social media comments rather than the politics at hand.
