Man finds rare antique in his grandpa’s tool box but had no idea what it was until now

There are hidden treasures everywhere, sometimes you just have to look for them.

One man was going through his Grandfather’s old tackle box and found something unusual. He had no idea what it was.

It was a palm pistol from 1895.

In the 1890’s, the Chicago Arms Company made 13,000 palm pistols, and this guy happened to come across one in his Grandfather’s tool box. The palm pistol had belonged to his great-grandfather, and was handed down. His grandfather thought it was a tool and didn’t know it was a firearm, so he placed it in his tool box.

Gary Piattoni from Antiques Roadshow appraised the Chicago Arms Co. palm pistol, ca 1895,for $2,000. I’d say that’s a pretty good find!
