While everyone expected Lady Gaga to use her Superbowl LI half-time show as a political soapbox, it was the 84 Lumber commercial that caused real political controversy.
Only the first half of the commercial was shown before cutting away. It follows a mother and her little girl as they make a tough journey through the desert. Along the way the mother is cleary anxious and afraid, but her daughter just smiles as she collects small scraps of fabric and seems to make the best of a bad situation.
The entire commercial has been released in its entirety including the controversial ending which was banned from public broadcast.
Keep in mind that the televised version ended at the 2:28 minute mark.
