Dollar store robber foiled by his own saggy pants

Jeremy Aragon, aka the “Saggy Bandit,” attempted to rob a Family Dollar in Pueblo, Colorado.

The 26-year-old thief knocked down a store clerk while attempting to steal a number of items.

According to local CBS affiliate KKTV 11 News, Aragon filled a plastic bag with store items and then left without paying. He reportedly shoved the clerk to the ground after she tried to stop him. Durring the scuffle, Aragon’s sagging pants fell around his ankles leaving him completely exposed. The clerk recovered some of the items before ordering Aragon to leave the premises.

A witness captured the entire ordeal on video, which was later given to police as evidence. Pueblo Police officers shared the video and security footage on Facebook asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect. The video immediately went viral and Aragon was captured and arrested less than 24 hours later.

The Pueblo PD left a message on Facebook thanking the video’s viewers for providing them with the leads that ultimately brought Aragon to justice.
