Steve Irwin, “The Crocodile Hunter,” was known for his kind heart, explorer’s soul, and passion for conservation. In 2006, Irwin passed away after being stabbed through the heart by a stingray’s barb. He left behind his beloved wife Terri and two small children, Bindi and Robert.
The world grieved with the Irwins, but the brave family never lost the joy Steve had inspired.
Now 12 years after Steve’s death, his family has a new chance to share the love of nature with a new generation. This week Animal Planet announced their new show “Crikey! It’s The Irwins.”
We can’t wait to share our story with you as we continue Dad’s important work,” Bindi announced with cheer. “This feels like a beautiful new life chapter. I hope to see you there.”
Bindi, now 20-years-old, has followed in her father’s footsteps as a TV personality, conservationist, and photographer.
Robert Irwin, already a successful professional photographer at the age of 14, shared the news on his Instagram page as well. ““Crikey! It’s official… our family is returning to Animal Planet,” he wrote. “So honoured to be sharing our journey with you and showcasing all of the incredible adventures we have with our conservation work here at Australia Zoo and worldwide. I can’t wait to embark on this new chapter as we continue Dad’s legacy.”
