The Federal Bureau of Investigation confirms that a suspect has been arrested in connection with the multiple pipe bombs sent to critics of President Trump. The so-called “MAGA Bomber” mailed at least 12 devices to political figures and outspoken anti-Trump activists including but not limited to President Obama, Vice President Biden, Representative Maxine Waters, and actor Robert De Niro.
Each of the packages was found in a manila envelope with six U.S. Flag stamps and a mis-spelled return address of Florida Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
We can confirm one person is in custody. We will hold a press conference at the Department of Justice at 2:30pm ET.

Florida law enforcement has identified the suspect as 56-year-old Cesar Altieri Sayoc, a registered Republican of Aventura, Florida. They have also confirmed Sayoc has a criminal history and connections to New York.
Sayoc frequently shared conspiracy theories, threats, and pro-Trump rhetoric on social media.

Sayoc’s arrest came just hours after two more explosive devices were discovered, one intended for Senator Cory Booker and another for retired Lt. General James R. Clapper.
The big question false-flag conspiracy theorists have been asking is “why aren’t the packages post-marked?” Four separate officials from the US Post Office have confirmed that many of the packages were not postmarked because the soft packaging could not go through the postal machines. They continued to say that postmarks are not required in all cases.
New York City police officers evacuated a Manhattan post office after learning a “suspicious package” was sent to Clapper’s New York address. The package had been intercepted in Florida, reports the Wall Street Journal.
According to the US Post Office website “”Postmarks are not required for mailings bearing a permit, meter, or precanceled stamp for postage, nor to pieces with an indicia applied by various postage evidencing systems.”

“This is definitely domestic terrorism,” Mr. Clapper said on Friday. “Anyone who has in any way been a critic, publicly been a critic of President Trump, needs to be on an extra alert.”
Sayoc is currently held in Federal custody near the Miami area.
An examination of the packages confirms the presence of flash powder, which is used in pyrotechnics. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the bombs were operational.
The Justice Department has announced a briefing scheduled for this afternoon, October 26, 2018.
