One of the most important lessons in life is to never judge a book by its cover. Sadly, a stranger forgot that lesson when her daughter caught a glimpse of Andy Ross outside of a store in Vancouver, Washington.
Andy, a former special operations medic, works in the construction industry. He’s also the owner/operator of a private business, Evergreen Sate Outdoors.
On his way home from a construction site, Andy stopped by the store to pick up a few things. He admittedly had more than a little dirt left on his face from a hard-day’s work.
Somehow, Andy caught the attention of a little girl who just couldn’t stop staring at him. He thought nothing of it, until he heard the mother try to teach her daughter a lesson by saying “that is why you need to stay in school.”
Andy decided to teach the mother a lesson as well. “It was just a spur of the moment kind of thing,” he explained “The reaction is much more than I ever would have expected, I’ve heard many amazing stories of people who have been in similar scenarios. Very humbling to see how many people appreciate it and have shared it!”
