Sometimes you just need to take a break...

Scientists urge loofah users to throw out those colorful puff balls

As creatures of comfort, most people don’t change their routine too often, which can be dangerous when it comes to hygiene products. Toothbrushes, loofahs, and even contact lenses should all be replaced at regular intervals, but do you know how long those intervals are? It really depends on the conditions of your bathroom, but you may need to replace some of these items as often as every 3 weeks.

The loofah in particular creates an incredible breeding ground for some nasty germs. Bacteria and mold can easily grow out of control in a warm wet environment, and you could risk getting sick while trying to stay clean and healthy. When not in use, try to keep your loofah and toothbrush as dry as possible. Always hang the loofah, but avoid storing it beneath the shower head or faucet where it could collect more water.
